I have it. I hate it. I disgust it.
I like hot weather. I like cold weather. I like seasons of change. I prefer to live in an area that features these distinct weather types. I do not want to be stuck in a humid location for the rest of my life for trying to cope with it.
Anytime I stay inactive, and the weather is below sixty degrees Fahrenheit, I start to get cold in the hands and feet. Obviously there is a circulatory problem. I am anemic, and I do drink caffeine often, but even when I keep in check these two “issues,” I still have the phenomenon pushed onto me for no reason at all. It gets annoying very quickly.
I’ve shaken others’ hands, and they have noted the coldness from which I exhibit. I highly doubt this rubs off on them, but still, it would be somewhat awkward if you were to touch someone’s hands only to find out that they are cooler than ice. Maybe that is better than shaking greasy or dry hands – yuck! Where is the hand sanitizer?!
Now let’s look at the standard connotations dealing with temperature We’ll take a look at how society would view someone:
Person is hot: super positive (from many, not all, point-of-views). Has to do with attraction, though. Also can be a way of saying someone is enraged.
Person is warm: positive. A warm-hearted individual is seen as a good sight.
Person is cold: negative. He is evil, meticulous, and un-caring.
So right off the bat, I am at a slight disadvantage. I shall wonder where this will take me in my business adventures since you shake hands before a discussion with someone else. So I beg of you to not get the wrong opinion about me! I swear I am a swell guy – with the golden touch to warm to the heart’s content of any.
Now let me go and put on three pairs of socks. And yes, I have done that many times to the point where I am looking into buying wool hiking socks. One day I will buy them, but maybe I can shove onto others a strange sense of abnormality when they shake my hand. It does set me apart, though, and I can find solace in that I am not one and the same. Maybe I can figure a use this to my advantage somehow, someway, and somewhy.
